The Snow Leopard (Panthera Unica) is a rare Snow leopards are carnivore and actively hunt their prey. The total wild population of the snow leopard is estimated at only 4,000 to 6.500 individuals.

It can not roar like other big cats, like Lions or Tigers, and that makes the Snow Leopard a silent killer.

The Snow Leopards live in the mountain areas in Asia (Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan and Russia)

The Snow Leopard have been chosen to represent Aortic Dissection Awareness Day – September 19 – a global day to jointly create awareness for rare and lethal aortic diseases around the globe.
